Challenges
One of the key challenges S&S was looking to solve using an automation solution was to help with the staffing model. After COVID, hiring staff for the distribution network became increasingly difficult. They also wanted a system to meet their customers needs. S&S takes orders up until 5pm and typically must ship out same day. They needed to find a system to keep up with the demand as well as grow with the company.

The S&S team with the help of Infios, rolled out Geekplus's PopPick Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), in four of its distribution centers and has plans to roll out in one more. Infios helped to:
